Our basketball offerings

Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium offers competitions for all standards – keen to start playing with some friends, a strong player looking for some good quality basketball or a veteran wishing to make a comeback, Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium has you covered. We cater for all age groups from Aussie Hooper’s to Primary & High school through to our Senior Thursday night competitions. All basketball competitions are run in conjunction with the school terms and are played in 2 seasons, Summer (Term 4 & 1) & Winter Comp (Term 2 & 3).

Glory League is an automated video engagement system for basketball, providing players with full game videos, highlight reels, and stats. It integrates with competition systems to capture and share personalized content. This enhances player experience, promotes community engagement, aids development, and improves player retention while reducing on-court incidents

Senior basketball:

2025/26 Summer Comp team nominations now open!

  • Please note:
    • i) Any team nominating into our Senior Basketball Competitions must nominate a duty referee as well. Duty referees will be required to referee on average once a fortnight. Teams will not be accepted into the comp until they do so.
  • Limited spots are available, if you would like to register a team for the upcoming competition, click on the button below.

Senior Competitions are run Thursday evenings from 6pm. All competitions cater for beginners to competitive, with A, B and C grades in both Men & Women.

DATES:

    • Trial RD = Thurs 16th October 2025
    • 1st Round = Thursday 23rd October 2025
    • Trial RD + 16 RDS + 3 week finals series

COSTS:

    • Team Nomination Fee = $30
    • Team Game Fee = $65
    • Team Forfeit Fine = $65

All players will need to be registered into their respective teams by RD 4. 

  • Individual Player Registration (Annual fee) = $125

All players will need to complete the online individual registration form once the team has been registered. Can team managers please provide the team code & registration link to their team members.

Primary Basketball 2025/26 SUMMER competition dates:
  • Launching our new MINI BALL for Yrs 1 & 2 only = Lowered Rings and modified rules makes it the perfect time for kids in Year 1 & 2 to jump into Basketball!
  • Skills Clinic = Wednesday 15th October (All players & Coaches welcome)
  • 1st Round = Wednesday 22nd October
  • Total RDS = 14 RDS + 3 week finals series
  • Game fees: $130 per player for the season
  • All players will need to be registered into their respective teams by RD 4.
    • Individual registration fee (Annual fee) = $75

High School Basketball 2025/26 SUMMER competition dates: 

  • Trial Round = Friday 17th October
  • 1st Round = Friday 24th October
  • Total Rounds: Trial RD + 13 RDS + 3 week finals series
  • Game fees = $126 per player for the season
  • All players will need to be registered into their respective teams by RD 4.
    • Individual registration fee (Annual fee) = $95

JUNIOR BASKETBALL

Representative Player Rule – 2025/26 SUMMER COMP

1. Junior teams are restricted to a maximum of three (3) representative players per team.

1.1) A representative player is any player selected to represent the Bathurst Goldminers as a Div 1 or Div 2 player in the current Western Junior League (WJL) season.

Example: If a player has been selected to represent the Bathurst Goldminers or another rep equivalent for the 2026 WJL season, they will be considered a representative player for the 2025/26 Summer comp.

1.2) Any player representing other associations in that season are also considered as a representative player in the Bathurst domestic competition.

1.3) Any player who has previously played for the Bathurst Goldminers or other representative associations, but are not participating in the current season, do not count as a representative player for that competition.

Example: If a player has been selected to represent the Bathurst Goldminers or another rep equivalent for the 2026 WJL season, they will be considered a representative player for the 2025/26 Summer comp.

2. If any teams are wishing to play with more than 3 representative players in one team, that team must nominate in the age/group/division/school grade comp above.

Example: A) Goldminers U14 Boys (made up of players in Years 7 & 8) wishing to play as a team, must nominate to play in the Years 9 & 10 competition, if the total number of year 7 & 8 representative players exceeds 3.

3. A player from a younger age group playing up an age group/division/school grade comp above their own, will not count as a representative player.

Example: B) A team in the Years 7/8 competition have nominated with representative players from younger age groups/divisions/school grades (E.g Years 5 or 6), those younger players do not count towards the maximum 3 rep players for that age group and will be allowed to play.

Aussie Hoops is all about learning to play basketball in a fun and safe environment.

Our national coaching curriculum and sequentially developed program consists of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games all delivered by accredited coaches.

Goldminers Representative Program

The Bathurst Panthers Goldminers are the representative team of the Bathurst region and have achieved success on the court for over 30 years. The Bathurst Goldminers rep teams play in the NSW Western Junior League, Waratah League & NSW Country Championships. They have teams in all age groups starting from under 12’s through to under 18’s.

Bathurst Goldminers have seen many junior athletes go on to achieve greater honours in the sport of Basketball.
